By sponsoring a child in our community at this time of year, you are giving families relief at Christmas time. If you choose to shop, what you purchase may be the only presents your sponsored child will receive. The Christmas Blessings program was designed to meet the needs of families (such as clothing and shoes) and also the ‘wants’ that are on kids’ wish lists. It may only take an hour of your time to shop, but it may mean the world to your sponsored child.
Expect to spend $200 per bag per child
IT IS REQUESTED EACH CHILD RECEIVE IN THEIR BLESSING BAG:
1 coat, 1-2 outfits (pants/shirt), 1 pair of shoes, and 3 toys/wish list items
Of course, you may feel free to purchase more items than suggested. Additional items to consider may be pajamas, gloves, toboggans, toiletries, socks, and underwear.
Gifts need to be dropped off Monday-Friday between November 24th and December 3rd from 8am-3:30 pm at City Hall.
In order to allow us time to check every bag for the requested items, we will be unable to accept any bags after DECEMBER 4th. Please place any online/Amazon orders 2 weeks prior to December 4th to ensure timely delivery.
We are also thankful for financial donations from those who may not be able to commit to shopping. That money allows us to shop for children who may not be sponsored.
